Overview

Resource points determine the general amount of items that can be found within any given building. A building with 0 RP is empty, and no items can be found inside, while a building with exactly 100 RP is packed full and grants a 75% chance to find the first item. Every successful search depletes a percentage of RP points from the building, ranging from 5-8% per item found (see buildings for specific info).

RP Regen

Floors regenerate 2% of their max resources every 30 minutes. The resource max for almost all buildings is 1,000,000, so in practice floors generate about 20,000 RP every 30 mins. You can tell how much RP is left in a floor by the message.

Repairing

Floors regain some RP each time they are repaired. The amount regained depends on the floor's status when it is repaired, but before the repair is applied. The percentages listed below are the percentage of resource max that the building gains. Because the general max for most buildings is 1,000,000, a 30% gain is 300,000. A building's resource max does not change.

Ruins Level RP Change Message
0 45%
1 30% weakened and needs repairs
2 22.5% damaged and needs repairs
3 15% badly damaged and needs repairs
4 7.5% almost ruined and needs serious repairs
5 0% completely ruined and needs major repairs

Let's look at a real scenario to make this table a little more clear. Let's say you're on a floor that says "is badly damaged and needs repairs". Let's also say you want to repair this floor. How much RP will be restored when you repair the floor? According to the table, your repair will restore 15% of the resource max to the floor. Realistically this is about 150,000 RP. When the game adds RP to a floor from repairing, it looks at the percentage associated with the floor's current status.

Using the same scenario as above, the the floor started as "is badly damaged and needs repairs" but you repaired it once, so it is now at "damaged and needs repairs" (RuinsLevel 2). If you choose to repair the floor yet again, it will gain 22.5% (about 225,000) RP. Again, the RP gain is taken from the floor's current status, not the status after repairing it.

Ruining

Ruining RP loss works the exact same as repair RP gain, except in reverse. The percentages are the same for each ruin status. Refer to the above table in the repairing section to see how much RP a floor will lose each time it is ruined.
